Living rooms, family rooms and dens are one of the fastest growing areas in farmhouse and rustic decor. It ranks only after the kitchen in where home owners are spending a great deal of money upgrading the looks of their homes. Designers are using lots of real wood, plush pillows, and wall hangings in lighter tones making the living room less formal yet still classy. Large signs and clocks are examples of some of the decor that can be found.
Below are just a few examples of some designs I hand picked from the Internet that I feel are inspiring. Maybe you can find some ideas also.
Farmhouse living room with nice subtle colors. Looks very comfortable and fashionable. I just want to relax and drink a glass of wine in there with my favorite movie.
Wood and more wood with a plush sofa. Again softer colors and a large wall clock has been added for character. The shabby chic motif on the table and bureau gives this room an aura of “slow it down and enjoy yourself for a bit”
This design looks like a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy some reflections about life. I need to make a room like this!
A very open and airy design with lots of white and subtle coloring. Invite a friend or two over for some tea or coffee. Why go to Starbucks when you have a room like this in your house.
